CONTACT - Brenda Liddiard & Mark Laurent
For nearly 9 years we lived in the hand-made house on the Coromandel, east coast of North Island, New Zealand. It was a very creative time there - several albums & 3 books were completed. Perhaps you can see why.

STAGE DOOR - Mark Laurent
When I was much younger than now I used to get asked to perform at a lot of Christian youth outreach events. I'd play songs like this. Stage Door was originally written for a YFC convention in Auckland Town Hall, commissioned by Ian Grant, who was director at the time. The song was meant for the end of the evening, just before everybody left the building. It ended up on my 1986 album Kindness In A Strong City, which is still available on Bandcamp. Version:1.0

RUSHLAKE GREEN - by Mark Laurent
A tiny village in East Sussex had a big emotional & creative impact on my life in the late 1990s. My wife's brother & his wife lived there & we spent quite a few weeks there on & off. This was the first place I connected with in England - for a brief idyll I believed all England was still like this - a gentler world where childhood stories became real.

JOB'S BLUES - Mark Laurent
It seems likely that Job wasn't actually a historical figure - possibly the book about him in the bible was written in the form of a morality play - but the lessons we can learn from his story & the debate with his companions is still profound.
